In April 2004, the first anniversary of the first Music Bar Jam Session was celebrated. Unlike the year before, quality was preferred over quantity. As a result, there were "only" two tracks recorded, but with significantly more care and elaborate production.

NoIdea

"NoIdea" is a typical rock arrangement with guitar, bass, drums, and some smaller synth part. It is still lacking some vocals, but these might be added later.
Cyrille on the bass, Gert on guitar and synth, and Martin on the drums.

Grappa Dreams 12:08 11.1MB "Grappa Dreams" features an ambient soundscape with Gert's signatory lead on top of it. Add an electribe and some fun bottle blowing and you get this track.
Cyrille on the Virus, Gert on Trinity and Z1, Martin on the Electribe and Bottle.

Soon after the second Zurich Bar Jam, some members of the group met again in Malta at Peter Korsten's place. Besides enjoying the wonderful island of Malta, the hotel pool, and lots of sun, there were several jam sessions recorded. Unless otherwise noted, all tracks were played by Gert Van Santen on a Korg Electribe MX and Laptop, Peter Korsten and Martin Naef on Yamaha EX5 or AN1X. The tracks make for a nice ambient CD of 45 minutes length.

The First

8.1MB

The first track in the section, and the first Music Bar track to feature Peter Korsten on the keys.

Model Trains 9:16 8.7MB Peter loves model trains, so we named the track after him. After all, the rhythm section certainly reminds me of a steam engine.
Real Winds 4:49 4.5MB Ilona joined us on the flute for this track. Unfortunately, only the last five minutes were recorded. If the start sounds a bit odd, it's due to lack of recording skills, not bad musicians...
Funky Garage 7:49 7.3MB Again, the Electribe provides a solid rhythmic base for a funky still track. Lots of soloing by Martin on this track.
Oriental Road 8:25 7.9MB Martin plays a synth flute while Ilona enjoys the sun - not a perfect replacement, but good enough. Gert adds a lot of his signatory licks to the equation, while Peter provides the fundament.
Fiep 7:41 7.2MB Gert and Martin jammed along on this track, while Peter had to get ready for a meeting.
